Mandatory 10DLC Industry Regulations Compliance

10DLC (10-Digit Long Code) industry regulations are changing as of February 1, 2025. Please read below to learn how to be compliant.

We want to ensure you are aware of a new industry regulation that will affect your ability to send messages through Prokeep. As of February 1, 2025, all businesses using our messaging services are required to have privacy policy information in the footer of their website. This can be a link to a privacy policy page or the information laid out in the footer.

What you need to do: Please email support@prokeep.com a link to your privacy policy landing page that illustrates compliance with this policy. Our team will submit the information on your behalf to ensure there is no disruption to messaging.

If you need assistance or have questions about this requirement, please don't hesitate to contact our support team. This is mandatory to be able to continue to send text messages through your Prokeep-enabled number, so we want to ensure this process is as clear and easy as possible.

Privacy Policy Information:

An acceptable Privacy Policy must clearly explain how consumer data will be used and shared (if applicable), and how consumers can contact the message sender. Specifically, consent and opt-out instructions for text messaging need to be addressed. When we register your number, it goes through a vetting process, which includes examining whether the privacy policy is present and whether it adheres to these standards. To successfully fulfill these requirements, we recommend adopting a privacy policy that demonstrates senders will not share consumer information.

Consent: Businesses do not have the consumers’ consent to share end-user data with third parties for marketing purposes. While it is okay for a business to share end-user data essential for business operations, the fundamental practice of sharing data to sell consumer information to third parties is prohibited. This campaign type will be rejected.

Opt-out Instructions: the policy must state that it is the consumer’s right to opt-out of a messaging campaign and include instructions on how to do so.

Example:

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. This information will not be shared with any third parties. If you wish to be removed from receiving future communications, you can opt-out by texting STOP, QUIT, END, REVOKE, OPT-OUT, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE.

Thank you for your prompt action.
