Read on to learn about enhanced Broadcast text contact filters, audience builder, and ADA improvements for WebChat.

Broadcast Text Enhanced Contact Filter

Enhance the effectiveness of your broadcast text messages by utilizing advanced filtering options designed to help you connect with the right contacts. These filters align with those in your contact list, enabling you to create more precise and targeted messaging.

  • Contact Type
    • Known Contacts – Filter for contacts with saved names.
    • Unknown Contacts – Show contacts without saved names, identified by phone numbers.
  • Groups or Labels
    • Select specific groups or labels to tailor your message to a focused audience.
  • Account Rep
    • Select contacts based on their assigned account representative.
  • Last message date
    • Select contacts who have interacted with you within a specified date range.

Note: This improved filter is only available from the “Contacts” tab of Broadcast Text, not the “Selected Audience” section. This is because the Selected Audience includes Contacts, Companies, Groups, and Labels, and these filters only work for contacts. A label doesn’t have an account rep, for example.

Broadcast Text Audience Builder: "Add Contacts to Audience" Reminder

To ensure you don’t lose any work while adding contacts to your Broadcast Text Message audience, you'll now receive a reminder before leaving the audience builder if you haven’t saved your selections.

With this safeguard in place, you can build your audience with confidence, knowing your selections won’t be lost unexpectedly!

Web Chat Accessibility (ADA) Improvements

We’ve made updates to our web chat to ensure a more inclusive experience.

    • Improved Color Accessibility
After evaluating our design, we identified that our web chat lacked full accessibility for colorblind users. To address this, we have revised the color scheme to comply with accessibility standards, enhancing visibility and usability for all users.

    • Better Screen Reader Support
The previous version of our web chat iFrame lacked an appropriate label, which hindered screen readers—the tools that convert text into audio—from identifying it accurately. We have now implemented a title, allowing screen readers to recognize and navigate the chat functionality with greater ease.
