Configuring the Dispatch and Prokeep Order Notification Integration

The Dispatch and Prokeep order notification integration allows you to automatically send text message updates to customers as their order progresses without any manual outreach. This article explains how to set up the Dispatch integration. Dispatch handles most of the configuration on their end. Your role as an Administrator is to generate API credentials in Prokeep and share those details with your Dispatch account manager.

Prerequisites / Permissions

  • Role required: Administrator
  • You must have an active Dispatch account.
  • Identify which locations (branches) will be sending messages through Dispatch before starting.

How to configure the Dispatch and Prokeep order notification integration

Step 1: Generate API credentials in Prokeep

  1. Log into your Prokeep account as an Administrator.
  2. Navigate to Settings > API.
  3. Select Create Application.
  4. Enter a name for the new application, like “Dispatch Integration”
  5. Select Generate Credentials.
  6. Copy the generated username and password before selecting Confirm.

Note: You will not be able to retrieve these credentials upon closing the window. Copy them before closing the window. Otherwise, new credentials will be generated.

Step 2: Send your API credentials to Dispatch

Email your Dispatch account manager with the following information:

  • Your Prokeep URL
  • A list of your branch locations and their associated phone numbers
  • The API application username and password you just generated

What happens next

Once Dispatch receives your information, their team will complete the remaining configuration on their end. You do not need to take any further action in Prokeep. Your Dispatch account manager will follow up with you once the integration is live.

Tips & best practices

  • Double-check your branch list before sending it to Dispatch. Include all locations that should be able to send messages through the integration.
  • Store your API credentials securely after copying them. If you lose them, you will need to generate a new username and password for the integration in Prokeep by visiting Settings > API.
